This didn't really have to be pointed out, it was OBVIOUS!

Ontario Canada's electricity prices doubled after implementing a lot of solar and wind.

That isn't to say that renewables are inherently bad. Manitoba, British Columbia, and Quebec have some of the cheapest electricity out there because they use hydroelectric.

Hydroelectric is TRADITIONAL energy used since the 19th century. We get about 80% of our energy from hydro, in Switzerland.
There was never any debate about it (apart from eco-fascists complaining about fishes & stuff), because it works. Unlike wind and solar.
Hydro has all the qualities you want from energy, including as reliable base load.
So it is not in the same category at all. The attempt to move it into the "green" energy balance is a scam, as this makes it look as if wind and solar are "the same"...

Wind and Solar are supplemental energy supplies. They are by design unreliable [cloudy days, nights, calm wind = no power] and never meant to replace reliable sources of power like coal, nuclear, hydroelectric.

Now imagine things like hospital life support systems relying on unreliable power.

The "leaders" shoving this down our throats are either evil, or incompetents following evil.
