There are other subdomains, http://demo.fedilist.com/instance/curia.social-network.europa.eu , http://demo.fedilist.com/instance/social.network.europa.eu , and that one's been around since 2022. Why europa.eu would do *.social-network.europa.eu *and* social.network.europa.eu is anyone's guess; it's probably some Kafkaesque nightmare and their network structure reflects this.
