I can't believe the people building the torment nexus believe that they'd actually use the torment nexus.

Engineers are conspiracy theorists apparently

@gabriel I wish I could find the screenshot of the tweet conversation where he tries to talk to someone and they suggest he go write an essay on the racist history of the mailbox.

@sun @gabriel out of curiosity i went to check if there was something wild here but all im immediately finding for this is that the us post office used to be very racist and didn't hire black mail carriers which, you know, sucked but not surprising given, you know, the history of the united states

@anna @gabriel I was wrong he was actually accused of writing about mailboxes as a tool of the bourgeoisie

@anna @gabriel @sun maybe cuz they have a propensity for parcel theft?

@sun @gabriel i cant imagine there's much if anything more to that than mailboxes being tied to land ownership since they are designated spaces for delivery to the landowner or their lessors

@anna @gabriel you're taking it too seriously, the basic idea was that jeet's considered an annoying windbag even by other marxists haha.

@sun @gabriel oh i know i am the marxist in the op that considers him an annoying windbag, but always fun to vibe check the stupid shit they post. every now and then there is something weird and unintuitive that's interesting to find out about, then you can make fun of them for being a weird dweeb about it and acting like its obvious when its a thing you reaaaaaly gotta explain to not sound like a psycho

@anna @gabriel nice haha. yeah I can dig it.

@Nudhul @gabriel @sun boring racist bye

@anna @gabriel @sun >tranny
>marxist
>contradictorally disbelieves group differences

you're literally all the same. the tranny bell curve is a flat line

@anna @gabriel @sun Yeah, segregation existed back in the day, but the modern post office really doesn't care. In fact, when I worked there, there were a lot of black people in management positions.

@i @gabriel @sun Friar John was a servant or underling to Romeo and Juliet? I've never read Romeo and Juliet, but that doesn't sound right.

@gabriel wdym?

Orwell wasn't writing fiction, people in the circles that are planning conspiracies leak information that ends up being the basis for conspiracy theories.
Just like how you see a lot of pilots speculating about secret aircraft and you'll see engineers speculating about suppressed energy technologies.
Some times you get close enough to "see the alien"

@i @gabriel @sun
I have a theory about where that comes from.
They learned writing from school where you have to just write random bullshit about whatever topic the exam/teacher/exercise sheet tells you to write about.
So they just write whatever they can think of about whatever they're prompted to, regardless of whether they actually think it or are interested by it (maybe).

@anna @gabriel @Nudhul @sun I liked this post but removed it when I actually digested the context. I think every is-belief should be considered if you have the energy. Including ones about group differences. So long as you remember that groups being different doesn’t mean that everyone in a group is the same.
