I played the first three during the pandemic. Played halo 2 with my brother when it was new, but the master chief collection was great.
The updates made me barely play that version, 343 were utterly incompetent
I didn't mind it (but I never played the original much so it isn't like a remake of a game I loved where I immediately turn off the new stuff). The only thing with halo 1 is I found it got repetitive after a while because I they obviously reused a lot of assets.

I'm older now so I can see the strings, but when I first played this it was one of those crazy moments when it really felt like you were in a new world.
@sj_zero I just made my 20 game list. And I have regrets having to pick and choose. So went with whatever sparked an emotional memory first. But the more I think about it the more I want to go to 50.
