As I understand it, there is a very, very small chance of a positive outcome if you're representing yourself. He's foolish. On the other hand, he's got a good case against them and, if he DOES win (again... really unlikely), that would be a significant embarrassment to Nintendo. If he loses, it will set an incredibly poor precedent and might actually do harm to the entire modding, tinkering and right to repair crowd too.

Tbf precedent doesn't really happen at the trial court level. Typically that's set at appeals courts and higher.
