when you pretend to care about covid but you still got a convention to go to, wear a mask at the superspreader event

Even before COVID, every year after DEF CON tons of people got sick.

EDIT: he started pitching his book within the first FIFTEEN SECONDS

it was a good talk but that nigga is retarded for wearing a mask even when speaking. covid is over BOZO. also you're far from others when you're standing up there i think.

@MMS21 It's obvious, stupid, hypocritical virtue signaling.

@sun

I did not realize initially that this is Cory Doctorow. I am surprised it took him that long. I am surprised he did not start by holding up a copy of his book, or a digital reader of some kind (hacked of course) displaying his latest work for all to see.

@leyonhjelm at least one of his books are good and he's done a lot of good talks but lately not really resonating with me, at all.

@sun I have enjoyed a few things he's written here and there but not the novel I tried to read. It's been too long and I found the characters to be the worst kind of plot devices, but maybe I just picked the wrong one. Doing PCP for the hell of it at a party when your girlfriend is calling you a retard for doing it was enough to go read something else and not come back. MC is a retard and author is making a ham-fisted point.

@leyonhjelm he is for a different, more optimistic time that is over now.

@jeffcliff @MMS21 it is when you really should stay home and not be in a crowd of thousands of people

@sun

I am always amazed how quickly things like Def Con have cone from kitschy to retarded. And I do not mean this happened recently.

@sun I got mildly sick after the first convention that came after covid

Haven't gotten sick from a convention before, or even after since

@sun@shitposter.world at least he's wearing an actual n95 mask instead of one of those shitty kn95s with gaps

@anemone premium virtue signaling

@jeffcliff @MMS21 stop tagging people I'm subtooting

@sun@shitposter.world i mean if you want to protect yourself it will actually work at least. if i had to go to a super spreader event and was worried about geting sick id wear a full cbrn getup though

@anemone I really don't know if he's in the "covid isn't over" crowd but if you're wearing a mask alone on a stage you probably should just stay home

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun more and more people regret getting vaccinated at this point among normies because the effects of the vaccine has become well known among people. Worst effects of covid was the harm done by vaccine and how unpleasant and negative people became after the covid lockdowns.

@anemone honestly too I don't think anything will convince me that masks work because for decades they said masks were for not making others sick. there are other studies that show people with correct masks rarely wear them correctly anyway

@jeffcliff @sun @MMS21 yes it is you FAGGOT BIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH

@sun@shitposter.world me when im giving a speech at a tech conference

@anemone I am also not a covid "denier" people keep trying to shake my hand or hug me and I have to lurch backward to prevent it.

@sun @anemone literally, this has been repeated to people since the initial period of panic subsided, you can't protect yourself by wearing a mask even if you wear it backwards, it's for protecting others. if you're visiting your grandma or something, wear a mask to protect her, giving her a mask won't do shit

@sun Is that Corey "Magic Kingdom" Doctorow?

@p yes

You foolish fools never realized that the flurries were far ahead of everyone, wearing full body masks and not giving covid one inch of skin to attack.

yes it is. there's no point in being overly cautious about it anymore. also vaccines are bs with mercury + other poisonous metals in them. i have aluminum in my blood stream now and all it did was boost pharma company stock prices.

@sun The man never did anything that wasn't a virtue signal.

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun im driving to your house to blow up your stupid faggot head with a giant laser cannon

@sun@shitposter.world ive seen pre-covid studies that show that surgical mask wearing prevents the spread of disease since it does reduce droplet spread while coughing

@anemone @sun it seems like an obvious logical conclusion that covering your mouth while sick in public helps other. It’s been the fashion in Japan for awhile I’m pretty sure. Only covid makes this a controversial statement, because politics brain.

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun covid is over btw

@eemmaa @anemone my point is that n95 mask is for keeping particles out, if you want to keep from spraying particles you can use a bandanna. the deliberate conflation of masks for protecting you from spreading and protecting you from getting it spread to you has been a constant factor in official covid propaganda

@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love this is why i'd wear a gas mask. protects me while doing nothing to protect others because if they actually care they can wear a gas mask as well

So they don't put mercury, aluminum and other harmful shit in vaccines so your body has a immune response to it?

Pretty sure they still do. Other harmful, abrasive chemicals are used in the manufacturing process and remain in the final dose but they cope and say it's too low amount to do harm. That's bs.

@sun @anemone I don’t think there’s any reason for the conflation other than it’s easier to just tell everyone to wear mask, rather than give them scenarios for when it’s useful.

@sun @anemone this is the line used to push surgical masks on people because they wanted to deny N95s and better to normal people when supply was worse. actual well-fitting *respirators* do work (and fit isn't hopeless, you can buy stannic chloride smoke tubes on grainger for 50 bucks and blocking the bayonets and inhaling gets you a long way). i wouldn't side-eye someone who came in in e.g. an MSA 900, but I guess I'm pretty weird. i think it's basically people's choice at this point, i still wear a p100 most crowded public places but i don't expect anything of anyone else

actual respirators do filter fine enough particulate enough to work. to head off the pm0.3 thing, that's the most penetrating particle size, smaller particles are stopped more readily

@eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love @sun@shitposter.world i do think it's reasonable to argue that the average person is just too dumb to know the difference between different types of face masks

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun its over jeff. its so over

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun Jeff, I was at Ace Hardware to buy dog food and pumpkins and nobody was wearing masks. Im pretty sure that means Covid is over.

@eemmaa @anemone fauci lied about masks protecting you at all when he was trying to protect the supply of n95 masks, then did a complete 180 so it's definitely deliberate.

to be perfectly clear I believe that if you are or might be sick you should wear a mouth covering, and if you're going to be in a crowd then it makes sense to wear a good mask. but if you believed everything that you were told in 2020 then you shouldn't be gathering voluntarily in large groups where hundreds of people get sick every year from other diseases.

@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love fauci's entire career is lying to people didn't he lie about the aids crisis as well

@anemone @eemmaa yes he did, he is on video, which you can watch on youtube, saying that you can get AIDS from living in a house with someone with AIDS.

@sun @anemone deliberate what tho, deliberate simple instructions, deliberate removal of instruction to protect supply line? but I dont think there is a deliberate attempt to teach you false information, its simply that simple instructions are easier to follow and details arent needed for the average person.

@eemmaa @anemone it was a deliberate attempt to feed false information, he said they didn't work to spread disease to convince people not to buy them. I don't have the source but he even said he was saying untrue things just to get people to do what he needed the outcome to be, he sugarcoated it but he just basically said it.

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @Nudhul @sun @anemone Not saying covid is over. Some people still get pretty heavy symptoms. Saying the vaccine companies have admitted openly they didn’t test the vaccine for preventing transmission and it has shown to not stop transmission at all so with the various side effects it produces why should you take it. If it don’t stop transmission of virus it strictly speaking isn’t actually a vaccine

@eemmaa @anemone if you really look into him, I won't call him evil or a scumbag but he operates with a moral code that is different than normal people agree with but is more common with people that become "public servants"

@jeffcliff @MMS21 @sun its over bro its never been more over

@sun @eemmaa @anemone we call those demons

@Nudhul @MMS21 @sun @jeffcliff cant convince a triple boosted person that he got scammed, imagine the feeling of humiliation. Most would never recover from the psychological damage.

@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love he probably sees it as necessary for the overall public good but ignores that this kind of shit erodes public trust over time which is a large source of problems today

@anemone @eemmaa yes that is exactly my perspective on it

@eemmaa @sun @anemone he blatantly lied to the public (the people he works for) about something that could kill people according to him, because he thinks the public is stupid and must be lied to for their own good.

@sun Rob Pike, or Cory Doctorow?

https://oracknows.blogspot.com/2005/07/if-you-think-its-just-about-mercury.html

A whole lot of words just to say nothing. Polio is caused by shitty sanitary conditions. They used to throw buckets of shit into the streets in London where polio was rampant. Is there evidence of the polio vaccine back then stamping out the disease? Seems more likely to me that they slowly stopped acting like Indians and the problem solved itself.

https://www.respectfulinsolence.com/2007/01/23/arthur-allendavid-kirby-debate-about-a-s/

I already wasted my time reading your first link. Show me evidence of your claims. A poison doesn't become medicine if you use it in a low dose.

They call the sickness after being vaccinated "side-effects" when it's anything but a side-affect, it's a direct effect of taking a vaccine when you feel poorly afterwards and your arm becomes numb. Medicine isn't supposed to do harm. The Hippocratic oath states that yet you've got niggers in lab coats handing out jabs like candy.

Corrupt bastards in the government want to take the tax dollars for themselves and pharma gets them to mandate toxic jabs so they can both profit.

@lnxw37b2 @jeffcliff @sun the vaccine definition in dictionaries was changed after the covid vaccine to manipulate people

>Or are you one of those 'viruses don't exist' people?

No

>Polio is running wild in gaza right now

Because the zionists bombed everything including hospitals. People are living in tents and the sanitary conditions have dropped off a cliff which makes it a perfect environment for polio to reemerge.

>not as serious of a problem because of a successful vaccination campaign

Any evidence that the vaccine didn't spike cases when it was initially introduced?

>Yes. How many people do you know, personally, who have had polio?

None because the average hygiene is greater than it was before the polio epidemic. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/countries-with-polio third world countries with low sanitation are affected by polio.

>The dose matters a lot. Even drinking enough water can cause toxic shock, does that mean you should never drink water?

These types of situations are hypothetical. It takes a lot more effort to drink enough water to kill you than it does to take a more potent shot.

>you get a vaccine and you feel kind of sluggish and cruddish for a day or so, and then walk away as if nothing happened
>you get covid because not enough people around you got vaccinated and you get diabetes. or heart disease. or permanent brain damage.

Hrm let's do the comparison here

You play Russian roulette and survive. For the rest of the year you're ecstatic and filled with joy because a bullet didn't go through your skull.

Each jab is adding poisonous metals to your blood stream which will affect you in the long run. The chances of you becoming paralyzed also increases.

If vaccines worked then you wouldn't need to take updated versions when they "run out".

No contest.

>And at the same time medicine allows for doctors to literally take a knife to you and cut open your chest *if the alternative circumstances mean you coming to more harm*.

You're comparing a medical procedure to medicine. Name one natural medicine that hurts to take. That's how medicine should be.

>The 'harm' prevented by vaccines is greater than the 'harm' caused by immune system challenge of the vaccine itself.

Where is your evidence?

>joe biden HAD COVID and WAS OUT IN PUBLIC WITHOUT A MASK. the government WANTS YOU INFECTED

That doesn't refute anything I said. You're agreeing with me here. If more people get covid then they have an even greater reason to push bogus vaccines on the population. They can then give tax dollars to big pharma and receive bribes for doing so.

I'm currently reading this book, I suggest you check it out https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/50351710-what-really-makes-you-ill-why-everything-you-thought-you-knew-about-dis

>There are doctors and nurses who are willing to brave getting shelled in gaza to vaccinate children *because it's preferable to polio coming back in their countries*. Why do you think they are doing this?

Appeal to emotion. There are doctors sent from other countries in Gaza, obviously they'll administer vaccines if handed them. You're completely missing the point though. They want to call a ceasefire just to jab people that are already dying. What's the point of temporarily vaccinating people that are on deaths door? America does not want to help Palestinians; this is just a money making scheme.

You just said the government wants you to get infected with covid but not polio, that doesn't make sense unless you were being sarcastic.

@sun@shitposter.world
The "Covid is not over" crew seem more interested in ritualistically defending their choices in 2020/21 as something that should be done always. It makes sense if you remember how thick the propaganda was, and that most of these people only trust 2-3 sources of information to form their worldview.
