I’m really happy that @pluralistic is talking about RSS. We need more RSS.
In my own case, I just like to say that I don’t even try to read the main page of blogs and news websites.
I simply open the RSS feed with #offpunk to see the latest posts.
For nerds like me, you RSS feed *is* the real homepage of your website.

That's exactly what I want for my phone. I don't have a SIM card in order to defend against location tracking, so I can't access the internet all the time. So it would be great to have it just automatically download pages when they become available.

they don't need an active SIM to track you. just the radio's IMEI among other things
