@anemone @Hyolobrika @arcana you know talking is a spontaneous activity that flows naturally and by instinct. You don't wait a day to make a response it's supposed to be a ability we are born with
@Diceyocean@annihilation.social @Hyolobrika@social.fbxl.net @arcana@fedi.layer02.net this isn't talking it's asynchronous communication
@Diceyocean @anemone
I can't always put my thoughts into words immediately and sometimes I'm just tired of an argument and want to log off for a while. What the hell is wrong with that? Leave me the fuck alone.

@Diceyocean@annihilation.social @Hyolobrika@social.fbxl.net @arcana@fedi.layer02.net autism is an actual developmental disorder not a catchall for anything you don't like
@Diceyocean @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika Sometimes irl things happen or people get busy or do take time for a minute and then forget a while
@anemone @Hyolobrika @arcana autistic people who can't communicate don't understand that they have a problem understanding social cues since they don't understand when someone tells them that due to not knowing what social cues mean
@Wobbegong @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika you have good communication skills far better than non autistic people
Look, I know you just spew off the first random thing that comes into your head, but I actually try and make sure that what I'm saying is true and makes sense before I say it.
@Diceyocean @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika Im just lucky on here, of we met irl im sure youd hate me too :(
@Diceyocean @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika Im sleepy. Im gonna go nap for an hour and dream of fox girls in oversized sweatshirts
I have a friend who's brilliant. He has an advanced degree, writes for a major newspapers, etc., but has no social skills whatsoever.
For example, one time we got to a bar in Berkeley early on a Friday and took the biggest booth. A few hours later, two couples came in and asked us if they could sit at our booth. They offered to pay for drinks for the night. Sure... why not.
At some point, one of the guys starts talking about taking his girlfriend to strip clubs. Girlfriend is at the table too. My friend starts arguing with girlfriend about how she's actually not ok with it. Everyone, including me, is like "chill." I politely remind him that we have free drinks for the night.
He keeps at it and it gets to the point where there's about to be a fist fight. I had to drag him out. I did this many times in college. He did the shit, drunk or not.

@Humpleupagus @Diceyocean @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika >no social skills...
sounds like he just is differently skilled...

@Humpleupagus @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika at least he stood his ground. He would make a good cowboy π€
@Humpleupagus @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika I have a similar story about traveling to Switzerland and everyone was enjoying the music in car while the guy was saying whole trip he didn't like that type of music through the trip in the alpes beatiful surroundings. He just couldn't let the issue about him not liking the music while we were saying we liked it
@Diceyocean @anemone @arcana It's supposed to be not bullshit.
Who the fuck gave you the right to impose your racist, illogical, normie nonsense on everyone else?
Who the fuck gave you the right to impose your racist, illogical, normie nonsense on everyone else?
@Hyolobrika @anemone @arcana it's part of your genes to be able to respond. You shouldn't need to meditate for a day before responding. It's part of like breathing or smiling
@Diceyocean @anemone @Humpleupagus @arcana I would have done the same. Why should I let someone's shitty music ruin my day?
That probably is genuinely an autism thing though, noise sensitivity and all that.
I have noise-cancelling headphones, but they don't always work.

@Hyolobrika @anemone @Humpleupagus @arcana it's part of understanding when the other 4 people like it you have to suck it up. We can't only listen to music you like
@Diceyocean @anemone @arcana Speaking is a result of thinking. Do you think before you speak, diceyocean?
Or are you an ape that can only hoot?

He was. That's why I kept him around. I think that was the night we raced a couple of bicyclist down a hill on a book cart we found outside of the library. π
@Hyolobrika @Humpleupagus @anemone @arcana this same guy didn't understand why he couldn't sit in front seat when one in the car had a bandaged leg and needed to sit in front seat. He always sat in front seat so he was incapable of understanding why he couldn't now
@Hyolobrika @anemone @arcana speaking is supposed to be a automatic ability. Obviously you think when you speak. But it's supposed to flow and change fast from topic to topic. You always need to know when to listen and when to speak. But this happens organically it isn't very difficult to speak to the point you have to think very deeply. It just flows unless you are giving a speech when it's pre written and gone over 100s of times every word given thought
@Humpleupagus @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika I don't know if it's because he was American or autism. He was American maybe he felt he needed special royal treatment
@Humpleupagus @Diceyocean @anemone @arcana @Hyolobrika exactly...bigot...oh...apparently differently abled is a slur now...

@Hyolobrika @anemone @arcana usually you should speak from your heart metaphorically speaking. If you are too cerebral you wonβt be able to find many friends in real world. It works online maybe to get a big following
@anemone @Hyolobrika @arcana @Diceyocean this is definitely autism, a neurotypical guy would've gotten the hint that she doesn't want to talk to him
