How do people tell when a @BadFediPosts about paedophilia is a joke versus actual paedophilia?

Is it just an us vs them thing or what?

@thatbrickster I mean, how can we tell that, say, pernia is just joking but others are not?
I only tagged BadFediPosts to refer to that type of posts.
