I never got into gaming...
... yet assume this is real.
Until ethernet became common, we used null modem cables on our PCs. It was great, especially since I had the faster PC and usually won.

@GluedToTheScreen i guess that’s a way to do it. We never went that far. LAN parties were dabomb tho
