Sowell has some great observations, but he is too generous and naive here.
It's a trap many on the right fall into.
The premise is that the left is "misguided" or "idiots" or "hypocritical" and that is a losing argument.
They do these things in the pursuit of power. They want power for the sake of power.
That is why they silence you. Not out of some misguided benevolence.
It is censorship for the sake of power.
