Insurance has nothing to do with it. They saw the makings of the disaster (because that's what they do for a living), tried to appeal to leaders to make needed changes. Local leaders refused so they got the f'ck out of dodge, just in time it seems.
What we really have here is marxists burning out the wealthy. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Fortune 500 companies routinely spend millions of dollars because insurance companies told them to, and happily. Meanwhile they'll whine and complain all day long if they have to follow a law.
It's pretty crazy tbh. Most people wouldn't believe it if they saw it.
