It's actually pretty impressive how pathetic the past 10 years of gaming have been. Like, how many people haven't seen really exceptional games for so long that we're all thinking of these ancient games and going "yeah, I play new games sometimes!"
In the past 10 years there's maybe been 5-10 really killer game releases? Prior to that, there were years with 5-10 great game releases.
