Terrible.

Only access to your backyard is through the front door, around the side of the house and through a gate. You can't just exit the back of your house to do so.

10X15. Here's the back:

@PNS @DrFell that bedroom window opened. I’d rather live in the woods. I hate narrow living.

It's not a good house, but for 131,500 it kind of is a good house even if it's a POS core floor that's tiny and has no back door.

@PNS This is the most depressing thing I've ever seen. I need a drink.

I'm from Soviet canuckistan, so a crack house is a million to start in our biggest housing markets. The peak we hit nation wide was 850k, and that's you still have to live in Canada.

@PNS

I though two points of egress were universally required by building codes

@PNS I wonder how many people would be living in a unit this size if it was in Brampton, Ontario???

@FranciscoScaramanga @PNS That’s a good way to put it
> This is the best we can do for you
Fuuug.
>Walk in closet!
Not once you put anything in there
>Comes with a toilet!
Thanks, but I dread thinking what the alternate plan was.

@PNS
Honestly, I probably would here in Denver. Everything is half a mil around here, even in the colored people neighborhoods.

@Haleakalacrater @PNS @DrFell fire code says every bedroom has to have a person sized window that opens.

That can't be 10x15.

I believe 10x25 maybe.

@rw @Haleakalacrater @PNS @DrFell

It's 12 by about 40, more like 50
retards put the back gate door behind the aircon and you have to tresspass on your neighbor's yard or climb over it lol

@rw @Haleakalacrater @PNS @DrFell

fucking keks when this jackass says "your walk in closet(s)"

@NNYLiberty @PNS that's why there is a window into the dirt patch

@PNS

Somehow that don't feel like genuine quality homes.

I wonder how noisy the AC unit that is practically inside bedroom 2 will be.

And I do not think this guy understands the concept of a walk in closet.

What is a walk in shower? A shower U walk in to take a shower in, contrary to the ones where U stand in the next room while someone else is taking a shower?

These homes were not planned good. If the kitchen were at the end, there could have been a kitchen door to the backyard.

@PNS @DrFell

$65k was a lot in 1975 though

Sounds like U had a great childhood

@PNS @DrFell

Sounds about right.

2 decades of inflation plus the value being slightly higher than cost of building.

Inflation is the number one driver behind housing prices. Thus we are not able to keep up so areas like these are built.

Poorly thought out cheap homes. That aren't really that cheap, considering that the second hand value will be non existent.

@PNS almost no windows!!

And any guests you have over will have to walk through the first bedroom to take a piss. Weird floorplan. And $131K makes it kinda ridiculous. You can still get a real home in older working class neighborhoods for around that price or a little more. Might be a bit of a "fixer upper" in a lot of cases, but still a real house.

@zeke @PNS

I would rather buy a fixer up and just live in it than that crap.

I also wonder if the house will flip over in a storm. Or if the roof will fly away. How thin are the walls.

It just screams of incompetence from start to end.

Looks like a toolshed.

@zeke @EvolLove @PNS And they put the door to the bathroom smack dab in the center of the room too. No, you fucking idiots. You stick that in the corner of the room, so that you can have bed bigger than a twin.

@zeke @EvolLove @PNS I assume 90% of the issues are trying to build a small house using building codes for full-sized houses.

Like the stairs. In a house like this, you wouldn't want a full set of stairs going up the side. You would want either narrow, steep stairs, or even a ladder. This place is designed like they saw a trailer house and went "meh, not stylish enough. There's a reason most trailers have the door on the side of the house.

Maybe a small spiral staircase would work.

@Codeki @zeke @PNS

This was probably just an attic that was later remodeled into an extra room later.

Seems like a nice old building. They were almost only built with the attic empty and cold.

And later, with better insulation and heating systems we renovate those attics. And sometimes there were no better access than a ladder.

Often it is just a place for extra storage. A full set of stairs will be equal to one less bedroom or one less living room. Sometimes it can not be fitted.

@PNS

I get the idea of making many houses on small lots.

But it would have been better to make the houses wider and have less courtyard.

One front yard and then a back yard that U can access by a kitchen door in the back is much better.

Part of the first floor could be a

@weeniewawa @PNS

The whole house is just wrong in every possible way.
