Today I will be attempting a data recovery from a Dell XPS laptop that was dropped and no longer has proper display output to the laptop screen.

To anyone thinking about getting an Dell XPS, I recommend that you don't. The extra cost premium is not worth what you actually get as I think Dell makes a lot of poor design decisions with the XPS line that look "premium" but are really problematic.

That's my opinion on the XPS series. The Latitude line is much more reliable, if you want to go with a laptop from Dell.

1000% modern latitudes are pretty sleek anyway, it's not like you're gonna get a chonk, just not something made to "look like a macbook air".

Around 2015 I had an Alienware laptop, and if I'm being totally honest, it wasn't worth the premium. As you said, if you can get a latitude with the specs, it's just a much better device, probably because they don't want to deal with all the issues of enterprise devices constantly being returned u der warranty en masse.

We did repairs and I got to work on an Alienware once. The screen was bad and they sent a WHOLE top assembly, new hinges, plastic, and all. We didn't even have to send anything back. They also sent it 2 day!

One of those time the "warranty" actually paid off for the customer.
