Who can you trust anymore?? Certainly not Apple. 😡 😡

They're using the "Feels Like" temp on their weather app. The 2 screenshots show a local weather station about 1/2 mile from me and the front page of the weather app, screenshotted at the same date/ time. Notice a difference??!! 😡

@Fezzy

Yes but still. U have to give them some slack. Look at the temp again ;)

Hint. Heil Hitler

To be fair, both humidex and windchill are common metrics intended to better illustrate the way someone feels heat depending on actual attributes -- either reduced capacity of the human body to cool itself in high humidity or increase heat transfer during high winds.

Something like this is incredibly common in Canada because you end up in those edge cases where it's cold and either windy or not windy, or it's hot and either humid or not humid.

@Fezzy

You sure about that. You’re comparing two sources of data. Same app shows the actual at location. Dig into the day to see real feel according to them. Of course. many of those weather stations are at airports which are heat islands, but the app shows actual for me.

@sj_zero

Yeah, I don’t care about that. I’m old enough to know that the past ~60 years of my life the temp has been the ambient air temp, not the “wet bulb” temp.
