1) Inflation has spiked up to 3% in January...which is a significant increase. Inflation is worsening. (https://san.com/cc/inflation-back-up-to-3-a-bad-sign-for-near-term-rate-cuts/)
2) NAEP scores - the best indicator we have of the overall skill of K-12 students - largely fell in reading. (https://www.edweek.org/leadership/reading-scores-fall-to-new-low-on-naep-fueled-by-declines-for-struggling-students/2025/01)
3) There have been at least 15 mass shootings in the US this year! Some of them are kind of pathetic, but if Randy Stair's failspree counts as a mass shooting then so do all of these. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mass_shootings_in_the_United_States_in_2025)
4) DOGE has finally managed to break something important: everyone at the IMLS has been placed on administrative leave for 3 months, preventing them from distributing grants to public libraries! America's libraries and museums are in severe peril! (https://archive.is/sgbDQ)
5,6) The "Hands Off" "protest", demanding that DEI hired feds get to keep having their jobs, happened in the first week of April this year. The only people who benefit from this are DEI hires, and as such this is both a "Race Riot" and a "Major Feminist Backlash," given that this was a nationwide riot with about 1% of the American populace involved.
7) There was a 10% or more stock market crash after Trump kicking off a new round of Tariffs, marking off "Fiscal Crisis of Any Sort."
8) Nicky Katt - one of the actors who played a major character in the somewhat famous weed movie "Dazed and Confused," has died from suicide.
9) Although this was missed by most - George Santos, a US Representative, has been sentenced to jailtime. There are other politicians who have been arrested for various reasons, but this is the first who is unambiguously "jailed."
10) The American Research Group's poll on 6/17-6/20 has Trump's approval rating at 38% (this is immediately following attacks on Iran).
>The U.S. government has to murder ten Americans for a bingo
Iran is not going to retaliate against the US in any major fashion. If Trump re-engages US activity in the Ukraine, and Ukraine loses, then that would be the main source of that square. I don't see how there can be any other chance, barring a new war starting that directly involves the US, and the US failing a major battle or two before the year's end.
@ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com @SuperSnekFriend@poa.st Only bingo's i am currently doing
No, it happened. I don't think Russia has been able to replace the Moskva yet for the Black Sea fleet, but I could be wrong.
https://wikiless.northboot.xyz/wiki/Sinking_of_the_Mos...
@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st @ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com The Moskva was already falling apart due to lack of maintenance.
I think its even funnier that a country without a navy managed to down a submarine ββ
How incompetent do you have to be to have that happen
Ngl the seas drone tech from Ukraine is fkn impressive, how quickly they adapted to the situation should be a an example
@ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com @SuperSnekFriend@poa.st It legit happened
@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st @ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com I don't think they under current leadership are able to replace even one ship, Have you seen the state some of these vessels are in, its laughable and pathethic
Regardless of leadership, Russia cannot pay for a new flagship since it has been losing money rapidly, which is why Putin has been trying his damned to get Trump to release some economic relief, like lifting of sanctions, for Russia to continue paying for its war of attrition.
Russians themselves are getting pissed because their own soldiers are getting treated shit like the US Bonus Army after WWI.
By the way, does the Ohio nitric acid leak a couple of weeks ago count as an environmental disaster, or was it too mild? I'm looking the news and it seems like it was safely contained within that county, with no lasting impact being reported.
@SuperSnekFriend@poa.st @ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com Sounds awfully much like they aren't able to keep this war going and shouldn't.
Sounds like the only reason why it is still going is because if they stop:
- Putin can hide for the rest of his life underground because his people will eat him alive
- Ukraine joins NATO
- Putin loses all power
- Russian economy is still shit
So only fucker to gain in this is putin :/
@ceo_of_monoeye_dating@lab.nyanide.com @SuperSnekFriend@poa.st I still have some leaks showing Russian doctored information on casualties, They grabbed the US/NATO numbers of the war casualties and swapped the numbers before "leaking" it
The russians have been losing an astronomical amount of manpower to tactically suicidal meatwave attacks that win them little to no extra ground.
I've seen the harrowing footage of some of these attacks and its a massive waste of human life for negligible gains.
Which doesn't sound pleasant at all.
