ResetEra is also notorious for being one of the worst "gaming sites" around and it's a punchline you can get banned from there for no reason if you can somehow get an account.

I think it's something casually stupid, but can be considered mildly offensive by certain crowd — Twitch even banned a match-three game at some point, because it had an… ehm, "plot element": you had to go on dates with ladies, learn about their interests and eventually make love to them. I think this learning about their interests part is pretty far from "objectivation", but who am I to judge

I don't even hate the show, not a masterpiece, but… not great, not terrible. It's just that some "fans" of it, who probably never even watched it (or read the manga) are very annoying — but I know that they used to do it precisely for the sake of being annoying and actively resisting them would probably only make it worse, so I'm kinda joking.
Besides the days of colourful horses and these dolls are long gone — I'm certain that there are modern equivalents that occupy the same niche, so to say. But I'm not aware of it, so… for the lack of better examples 😅
