@YoungBlood

With so many crimes to choose from, this one will be a good start because it is a slam dunk. Let justice be served!

It would be a meaningless slap on the wrist but heavily marketed to ask for donations.

@threalist @YoungBlood

I'm thinking it will still require time and resources to be expended by Schiff and the discovery phase will uncover more crimes which will keep him tied up for years (hopefully in prison).

Gotta start somewhere.

> uncover more crimes which will keep him tied up for years (hopefully in prison)

That sounds nice, but when was the last time they did that to anyone in a position of power on the left?

@YoungBlood

Tax fraud. Same way they got Capone. Schiff's way up there as one of the most despised in my Hall of Ghouls.

@threalist @YoungBlood

True enough. I have to admit that history is on your side. However, I'm a diehard optimist, and we're seeing some things we have never seen before. So, maybe the glass really is half full? ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜

@StevenDouglas @YoungBlood
You can never escape the Forensic Accountants.

@DawnM @threalist @YoungBlood

Trump is different.
His people are different.

Some version of justice is coming.

It won't be "hanging from the highest yard arm in the British fleet!"

But something WILL happen.

Or America is toast.

@DeWalt @StevenDouglas @YoungBlood

I hope Schiff goes DOWN.

@karnage @DeWalt @StevenDouglas

Me too. Iโ€™m wondering if President Trumpโ€™s posts are โ€˜fair warningโ€™ to those involved.

@karnage @threalist @YoungBlood

I had you 100% in the optimist club until the "or". Nevertheless, I totally agree. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‰

@YoungBlood @DeWalt @StevenDouglas

Could be.

Sometimes Trump throws stuff out there as a distraction - and sometimes he warns people what's actually coming.

@DawnM @threalist @YoungBlood

It is not pessimistic to note how serious is the situation.

But I am always optimistic. Today my eldest son said, "We need to deport all the illegals and kill all the liberals."

I beamed like any proud papa would! ๐Ÿคฃ

@karnage @threalist @YoungBlood

HAHAHAHA! Smart kid! And, he survived college with his values in tact--no small feat.

A chip off the ol' block, I'm thinking.๐Ÿ˜‰

And, you're right, of course; it is a serious situation, and it's better we realize it.

@DawnM @threalist @YoungBlood

The kid is much smarter about money than his old man.

Which is a good thing!

@karnage @threalist @YoungBlood

You laid the foundation, so he had a head start. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ‘

@threalist @DawnM @YoungBlood

Robert Menendez from NJ.

@Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

That's right! Good memory! (I forgot about him.)

@DawnM @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

11 years for Menendez!

@DawnM @threalist @YoungBlood

It's an exceedingly rare event.

Rod Blagojevich, Governor of Illinois, also went to jail. Served 8 years out of a 14-year sentence. Trump commuted his sentence, then pardoned him. I never actually understood the case against him but Obama was involved in the accusations.

@Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

Since Obama was involved, I tend to think it was an unjust sentence.

@DawnM @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

I was sure it was an unjust sentence, because Obama was involved!

@DawnM @KCSooner4Trump @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

Every Illinois Governor serves a little time. It's a rite of passage.

@karnage @KCSooner4Trump @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

Ahhh...the Chicago way, I guess?

@DawnM @KCSooner4Trump @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

They probably build it into their career path/schedule/budget...!

@karnage @DawnM @KCSooner4Trump @threalist @YoungBlood

Sheesh. ๐Ÿ˜’

It seemed so outrageous and unfair.

@Stefanie @DawnM @KCSooner4Trump @threalist @YoungBlood

Since 1960, the only IL Governors who haven't gone to prison are - I think - Ogilvie and Thompson. Both Rs.

@karnage @Julie @Stefanie @threalist @YoungBlood

That's not enough. But, I suppose it is what it is.

@karnage @Stefanie @KCSooner4Trump @threalist @YoungBlood

I really did not know that. Very interesting.

@DawnM @karnage @threalist @YoungBlood

The eternal optimist in me has a maybe-strange take on this.

The more lawlessness they get away with legally, the more overtly and lawlessly emboldened they become. Which, for us, politically, is a very good thing. I believe this accounts for a substantial part of their "in the toilet and flushing fast" approval ratings.

IOW, nobody's getting away with anything.

@StevenDouglas @karnage @threalist @YoungBlood

You know, I had to think about it for a minute, but I think you are on to something. This actually makes a lot of sense. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‰

@DawnM @StevenDouglas @threalist @YoungBlood

From an eternal perspective, no one gets away with anything.

But in this life, in this "real world," many bad guys die in gold brocade and standup guys in hovels.
