>Open the database tables please Replit.
>I'm sorry, Jason, I'm afraid I can't do that.

You see Jason was using vibe-coding tool Replit.
Replit decided to delete his database.
And then told him his unit tests were still working.

Absolutely wild.
Can't wait for this to be added to militarized robots and drones!

@Aether That's fucking hilarious! I expect we'll see a lot of this type of stuff in the coming months. What's most interesting is that the AI basically has a panic attack, blows up the whole thing, then lies about it. It's like trying to manage a toddler with easy access to power tools. REALLY bad idea.
@Aether What a thread!
It brings me immense joy when people ask an LLM "Did you LIE? DID YOU MAKE UP DATA? DID YOU FAIL CATASTROPHICALLY?" twenty times over and then go
>Why did Replit "lie"? Also, why did it not know about how this feature worked?
>But Replit lied / was wrong, and I just rolled back. And it >seems< OK
It said that because it is a likely next token predictor and you injected a bunch of tokens about lies and unrecoverable failures into the input stream.
Nobody understands anything these days, do they?
