National security analysts are reacting harshly to President Trump’s announced plan to double the number of Chinese students allowed into the U.S. to 600,000.
Could his reasoning be any more stupid? He is doing it to help American schools financially, especially “colleges that struggle on the bottom”.

We complained nonstop about Biden, but Biden did exactly as everyone expected.
Trump, on the other hand, promised to "Make America Great Again," and while I fully expected him to not follow through, I didn't think "sell citizenship for $5 million" was on the table.
People with $5 million probably don't make that bad a neighbor. The focus should be more on giving visas to everyone in the world who will supposedly work for 37 cents per day.
@cjd @melmc @FourOh-LLC @vic @threalist i wonder how many people even pay 5 mil for citizenship. US citizenship isn't worth that much these days, there are much better offers all over the world, and you won't become a tax slave for life.
It must be like a really specific type of person, e.g. Chinese billionaire, who wants a place to house assets where they don't have the risk of them just getting grabbed one day (they don't know about personal injury attorneys)
