@professionalbigot69 @PurpCat Same, living in the deep south as a transplant from the west coast i learned a decade ago to not even let it register on my face.
I even had a neighbor apologize to me after saying it loudly in a conversation with a UPS driver because my toddler was there with us.
Another time, 15 years ago, a different neighbor in a different town was angry that the new UPS driver was black...
The loving empathetic people seem to find it tough to coexist with people who are virtually identical to them. Bluesky is Satre's No Exit: Hell is other people.

@PurpCat the self segregation is still working. Amazing. They're so starved for attention in a hugbox of 100+ people that they can't handle the wild west that is the fediverse. They'd probably just end up defederating almost everyone anyways and ending up with 5 people interacting with them because they're insufferable.
