@kaia @sj_zero There's basically no reasons not to have one considering a DVD writer is like 20$ basically. However, the external ones have also reached that price lately

As much as I like optical media, still use it and have optical drives in some of my computers, I also have an external one — and I find it okay to use it, because what I do most often is listen to music from CDs and I have dedicated player for that.
Burning optical media isn't something you do often. Using an external cage for hard disks with a non-mobile computer on the other hand would feel very weird 🤔
