"Can we agree that having to pay for a human necessity is a major a-hole design?"
You've got two options: Go have a chat with God and his pesky laws of thermodynamics, or slavery.
We could bring it back, then we wouldn't need to worry about paying for human necessities!

@sj_zero I hate how expensive a haircut is. At least fingernails can be peeled or chewed.
@BowsacNoodle @sj_zero I've been hairmaxxing since the pandemic and I haven't gotten a professional haircut since 2020. When the ends get shaggy I give 'em a little ole cut.
@sj_zero Yup. There are a lot of people who will argue that "need is a legitimate claim on resources." They do not seem to understand that they are arguing for slavery.
"I NEED my cotton picked!" was precisely the argument of the people who started the Civil War.
@LawrenceGerald @sj_zero Good choice TBQH. I just hate the in between place from short hair to long.
Since we moved to Bumfuck, OK in '19, I bought some clippers and my wife gives me a #3 about every 6 weeks.
Her bestie in DFW used to cut my hair. Clippers were $75.00, and the haircuts were $25 + tip. Paid for itself in less than 3 haircuts.
I don't mind the burr look at all now.

Right at the beginning of the pandemic, I was like "Oh shit we won't be able to get haircuts, they're gonna mess us up" so I quietly grabbed a hair clipper on Amazon.
And it turned out to be like the last flight out of Saigon for the next 2 years.

@BowsacNoodle @sj_zero it's bad for mens and wammans alike. of course mine wasn't dude short to begin with, it was more between chin and shoulder
if you still have enough hair to grow it long, it's a solid Orthodox thing to do. my darling husband's hairline receded to the point that long hair became silly. I miss the days when we hairmaxxed together. he still rocks the Ortho-beard.

@BowsacNoodle @sj_zero just get someone to chew your hair...
