I was thinking, even though yolo and memento mori convey a similar meaning, they really significantly differ. The former says "Do what you want now because you won't get another chance". The latter says "You won't be here forever so make your one chance count"

@sj_zero Both of these have the idea of "make your time count" about them, but yes, tend to be used to connote opposite sentiments. Depending on how flexible you are, really, either maxim could be used for either one: "You only live once; don't fuck it up" comes to mind, or "Remember you shall die, so eat, drink and be merry."
Really I support any use of them that is at least conscious and consistent. Entire schools of thought can be summoned up to justify either.
