People like the inner poast are the worst kind of "I fucking love science people" - who have just enough understanding to be mildly articulate and then immediately glom onto the "prior winning team"

Memetic is of course going into detail about things, but the simple fact is that we've studied hereditary vs environmental thousands of times and the environment has extremely little impact when it's not straight abuse and deprivation.

But more critically, to assume we know the fundamental truth of quantum physics is retarded. The inability to keep an open mind about models, created by men that were smarter than you, is proof that you are not mentally able to be a scientist.

You can teach a Japanese kid English or in English kid Japanese if you provide them with a highly enriched environment, but no matter how much you and enrich your environment, you will never be able to train a cocker spaniel to read Chaucer aloud.

@sj_zero indeed. The bigger picture here is that these people MUST make equalism true, and the only way to do that is deny that genetics influence anything above the neck.

@sickburnbro His comeback is too wordy, mine always is "Guessing you've never bought a dog"

@EvilSandmich MS is, I think, some kind of physicist. This is just how he is.

@sickburnbro By far the majority of people do not have the mental capacity to work as a scientist. As a technician doing technician level work, yes. Probably. But not as a scientist.

@petra @sickburnbro Yeah having gotten sick and talking to my doctors about various medications and such, that are fairly well known medications too - they don't know squat about science. lol

Most "data" is really just two doctors sitting in a room hashing things out and writing things down from what they both know.

Like with prednisone, I wanted to see if there was something less harsh for my kidneys and my chemist said "perhaps this derivative might be better" so i went to the specialist with it.

And he was all like "Yeah naaa, that's not really well studied" and i asked what he meant and he goes "Well the two dudes who studied that don't really have any data"

And this is for a prednisone derivative that's been around or years - probably one of the most used anti-inflammatory drugs in the world.

@thefinn @sickburnbro First rule to staying healthy - Don't get sick.

@petra @sickburnbro Good rule.

@thefinn @petra I keep throwing apples at doctors and it appears to be working

@thefinn @sickburnbro Dr. Charles Hoffe in Canada during covid was doing doing D-dimer testing in his patients to test for clotting after being vaccinated. As far as I can tell it was curiosity driven and he was getting interesting and potentially disturbing results. He was not an anti-vaccine extremist. The whole of the Canadian medical establishment came down on him and made him an example to every other doctor here.

Any sense of genuine curiosity is driven out of them in medical school and the boards of certification make sure it continues.

@petra @thefinn The irony is that modern MD are trained to just be technicians but still want the privilege of being a professional.

@sickburnbro @thefinn Most people with Ph.D.'s are exactly the same way. It's pure credentialism.

@sickburnbro @sj_zero Yes. It is their religion. To destroy the very concept of differences in the world.

It's behind the push for transgenderism, drag queen story hour, no child left behind, a lot of mass immigration, and many other programs.
