@PNS
Our superintendent was born and raised in Vermont. He always kept the schools open! 😢
@Zennagain @PNS I'm Canadian, I think I've had one snow day in my entire life.
Our bus drivers were mostly farmers who drove for the extra money. They had no problem with driving in the snow.

I grew up on Long Hill. I remember chains on the bus!
Yeah! Our buses had chains too!! They were also stick shifts.

Lol! Yes! With 8 track tape player.
My junior high bus driver was the coolest. We had a hill that we went up that was kind of steep. You came down a gentle slope into a dip and then to the steep side.
She would get almost to the dip, give it some gas and see how far up the other side we could get before she had to shit gears.

We had the same bus driver from kindergarten to middle school. He played the Beatles Revolver and some Boston album, 8 track tapes over and over! Someone gave him AC/DC once. He did not play it! 😂
Our bus drivers didn’t play music. However, I do remember someone playing Bon Jovi -Livin’ on a Prayer on their “boom box” and the whole bus singing along.
