Dead hookers aren't liquid assets (well they can be )

Wealth taxes represent the end of private property.

Essentially, previously in history all property belonged to the king, who essentially lent out his things and could revoke ownership on his pleasure.

Over time, cracks begin to form such as the nobility asking for guarantees that their children would inherit. Leave slowly became the basis of private property.

Private property ended up incidentally becoming the basis for human rights as we conceive of them today. The claim was made that an individual has a property right to themselves, and thus has certain inalienable rights through that ownership of themselves.

Thus, the slow erosion of property rights is the slow erosion of the global order back to feudalism. We all serve at the pleasure of the king, and the King May revoke his charter at any time.

One major counter argument is that it only affects the rich. The income tax was only supposed to affect the rich. How does it feel being rich, Walmart cashier?
