Somebody should tell him to shut up, then.

@Dan_Ramos He's confusing free speech with his speech

@Dan_Ramos Exactly

@Dan_Ramos ‘Free’ speech is speech. ‘Hate’ speech is speech. The FREEDOM to speak is the freedom to think because we process our thoughts when we speak. Shutting this ability down shuts down the ability to think. Bottom line.

@Stuxnet1984

Not to mention the problem with letting the government codify what is permitted speech and what may be interpreted as illegal speech under ambiguous and subjective definitions like "hate speech" for example.

I'd rather have someone make their bigotry overt and open so that I know who they don't like and/or who to avoid.

@Dan_Ramos @Stuxnet1984 Agree with both sentiments! Absolutely.

As a foreigner, I endorse this message.

It'd be nice if some of these world leaders would deal with the problems in their own countries rather than talking about what they would do if they were the president of the United States of America, cuz they're never going to be that.

@sj_zero @HiroProtagonist

In fairness, they should feel the same way about our opinions... but then it's also ironic for France to shout "liberté" while also telling you that you don't have free speech, and similarly Britain while touting that they wrote the Magna Carta which spells out ALL SORTS of rights that they're no longer allowing the citizens to have. heh!

Our prime minster waggled his finger at Trump for the loss of the "rules based global order" when his predecessor of the same party illegally siezed bank accounts of peaceful protesters. Oh, there are rules? Doesn't seem like it.

@sj_zero @Dan_Ramos @HiroProtagonist They kind of just say things. No reason to expect anything particularly true or meaningful from it.
