Correction.. this wasn't a war. It started and ended already so quickly. This is like calling what happened in Venazuela with Maduro and his wife a war. Something happened but if there wasn't really a fight, can you call it a war?

It matters a little. The people trying to claim it's a war want to suggest something more arduous and life-taking than what really happened. Our military has been trying to keep the casualties as low as possible on all sides while still committing to a mission. Good on our Chief Executive for MULTIPLE successful mission with minimal to no losses!

Yes, but it's impossible to say how much it matters before the full consequences are known.
Tactically, the strikes have been a success. Strategically, the US won't be permitted to achieve the buildups of war materiel like these two instances. Domestically, the democrats are going to retaliate (somehow), and a future Dem president will use these precedents just as Obama used the GWOT.
