someone wants to buy another valve. the volume of valve sales i'm getting is giving me a thonk. i could definitely machine these things and sell them. maybe after i get moved i will look into this more seriously
this is the kind of thing where you can do onesey twoseys and make a little money, then at some point you may get someone contacting you saying hey we need 100 of these
there is definitely a market for industrial process equipment like this for fluid transfer. probably something in would look into after a new shop is set up and i have a few more parts on the milling machine like auto tool changer and 5th axis
with either 5 axis, or 4 axis bar feeder, and auto tool changer, that would be an acceptable amount of babysitting. one setup per part i can handle. click one thing, the machine runs for 15-30 minutes or something and you get a part you can sell for a few hundered $. that's reasonable
with a lot of optimization i could probably get cycle time down to a few minutes for some of these valves
start making $300 in 5 minutes then you're really making decent money. money that can allow you to buy more machines and expand
@threalist depends on what you can work out wtih the client in terms of lead time, and if they want to invest in some kind of partnership. or just tell them yea i can do 100 but it'll take 4 weeks to deliver
