This is like, everyone's strategy in every war. But what ends up happening (every single time) is nobody believes them except their own analysts and they end up convincing themselves that they're doing great - only to get beat upside the head by reality when it becomes undeniable...

What happens right now in Iran is they will keep fighting till the bitter end, because again - surrender is gay or feeds on pork. If this is on your culture, religion, politics - you way passed the term regime. You are on a different level of evil.

Same as the ukrainians. They also regularly report shooting down 90+ percent of Russian drones.
I think people are starting to wake up to it. Sophisticated decision makers (investors) are well aware. What's perpetually amazing is how supposedly serious geopolitical analysts are forever getting tricked by propaganda that is being created just down the hall from them.

Which is probably why one of the first thing Zelensky did was prohibit photography of war damage. The "only one drone got through" lie quickly falls apart when there's a fresh video of three strikes.
