Even before COVID, every year after DEF CON tons of people got sick.
EDIT: he started pitching his book within the first FIFTEEN SECONDS
I did not realize initially that this is Cory Doctorow. I am surprised it took him that long. I am surprised he did not start by holding up a copy of his book, or a digital reader of some kind (hacked of course) displaying his latest work for all to see.
I am always amazed how quickly things like Def Con have cone from kitschy to retarded. And I do not mean this happened recently.
Haven't gotten sick from a convention before, or even after since
@sun@shitposter.world at least he's wearing an actual n95 mask instead of one of those shitty kn95s with gaps
@sun@shitposter.world i mean if you want to protect yourself it will actually work at least. if i had to go to a super spreader event and was worried about geting sick id wear a full cbrn getup though
@sun@shitposter.world me when im giving a speech at a tech conference

@sun@shitposter.world ive seen pre-covid studies that show that surgical mask wearing prevents the spread of disease since it does reduce droplet spread while coughing
@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love this is why i'd wear a gas mask. protects me while doing nothing to protect others because if they actually care they can wear a gas mask as well
Pretty sure they still do. Other harmful, abrasive chemicals are used in the manufacturing process and remain in the final dose but they cope and say it's too low amount to do harm. That's bs.
actual respirators do filter fine enough particulate enough to work. to head off the pm0.3 thing, that's the most penetrating particle size, smaller particles are stopped more readily
@eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love @sun@shitposter.world i do think it's reasonable to argue that the average person is just too dumb to know the difference between different types of face masks
to be perfectly clear I believe that if you are or might be sick you should wear a mouth covering, and if you're going to be in a crowd then it makes sense to wear a good mask. but if you believed everything that you were told in 2020 then you shouldn't be gathering voluntarily in large groups where hundreds of people get sick every year from other diseases.
@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love fauci's entire career is lying to people didn't he lie about the aids crisis as well
@Nudhul @MMS21 @sun @jeffcliff cant convince a triple boosted person that he got scammed, imagine the feeling of humiliation. Most would never recover from the psychological damage.
@sun@shitposter.world @eemmaa@girlboss.gaslight.love he probably sees it as necessary for the overall public good but ignores that this kind of shit erodes public trust over time which is a large source of problems today
A whole lot of words just to say nothing. Polio is caused by shitty sanitary conditions. They used to throw buckets of shit into the streets in London where polio was rampant. Is there evidence of the polio vaccine back then stamping out the disease? Seems more likely to me that they slowly stopped acting like Indians and the problem solved itself.

I already wasted my time reading your first link. Show me evidence of your claims. A poison doesn't become medicine if you use it in a low dose.
They call the sickness after being vaccinated "side-effects" when it's anything but a side-affect, it's a direct effect of taking a vaccine when you feel poorly afterwards and your arm becomes numb. Medicine isn't supposed to do harm. The Hippocratic oath states that yet you've got niggers in lab coats handing out jabs like candy.
Corrupt bastards in the government want to take the tax dollars for themselves and pharma gets them to mandate toxic jabs so they can both profit.
No
>Polio is running wild in gaza right now
Because the zionists bombed everything including hospitals. People are living in tents and the sanitary conditions have dropped off a cliff which makes it a perfect environment for polio to reemerge.
>not as serious of a problem because of a successful vaccination campaign
Any evidence that the vaccine didn't spike cases when it was initially introduced?
>Yes. How many people do you know, personally, who have had polio?
None because the average hygiene is greater than it was before the polio epidemic. https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/countries-with-polio third world countries with low sanitation are affected by polio.
>The dose matters a lot. Even drinking enough water can cause toxic shock, does that mean you should never drink water?
These types of situations are hypothetical. It takes a lot more effort to drink enough water to kill you than it does to take a more potent shot.
>you get a vaccine and you feel kind of sluggish and cruddish for a day or so, and then walk away as if nothing happened
>you get covid because not enough people around you got vaccinated and you get diabetes. or heart disease. or permanent brain damage.
Hrm let's do the comparison here
You play Russian roulette and survive. For the rest of the year you're ecstatic and filled with joy because a bullet didn't go through your skull.
Each jab is adding poisonous metals to your blood stream which will affect you in the long run. The chances of you becoming paralyzed also increases.
If vaccines worked then you wouldn't need to take updated versions when they "run out".
No contest.
>And at the same time medicine allows for doctors to literally take a knife to you and cut open your chest *if the alternative circumstances mean you coming to more harm*.
You're comparing a medical procedure to medicine. Name one natural medicine that hurts to take. That's how medicine should be.
>The 'harm' prevented by vaccines is greater than the 'harm' caused by immune system challenge of the vaccine itself.
Where is your evidence?
>joe biden HAD COVID and WAS OUT IN PUBLIC WITHOUT A MASK. the government WANTS YOU INFECTED
That doesn't refute anything I said. You're agreeing with me here. If more people get covid then they have an even greater reason to push bogus vaccines on the population. They can then give tax dollars to big pharma and receive bribes for doing so.
I'm currently reading this book, I suggest you check it out https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/50351710-what-really-makes-you-ill-why-everything-you-thought-you-knew-about-dis
Appeal to emotion. There are doctors sent from other countries in Gaza, obviously they'll administer vaccines if handed them. You're completely missing the point though. They want to call a ceasefire just to jab people that are already dying. What's the point of temporarily vaccinating people that are on deaths door? America does not want to help Palestinians; this is just a money making scheme.
@sun@shitposter.world
The "Covid is not over" crew seem more interested in ritualistically defending their choices in 2020/21 as something that should be done always. It makes sense if you remember how thick the propaganda was, and that most of these people only trust 2-3 sources of information to form their worldview.
