@moffintosh I mentioned miraheze
@moffintosh Oh I forgot. I thought you liked it
It'd be pretty cool if you could cryptographically verify what OS is flashed to a USB drive or optical disk.
@admitsWrongIfProven @AnungIkwe I guess so, but most of the assholes you meet on the internet don't live anywhere near you.
@silverpill Also having lots of people experimenting with different things is good. It brings resilience.
@silverpill Could a relay-based architecture work for a decentralized wiki maybe? I'm not sure.
@silverpill Fediverse can only come close to solving the problem if it adopts a relay-and-signature-based (Nostr-like) architecture. And that may or may not happen.
@PurpCat I don't blame him, to be honest. It's impossible to tell what age an anime character is. They all look like so similar.
Anyway, I thought everyone here was okay with lolicon.

@silverpill Although. If you think about it, it's not more decentralised than the Encyclosphere in it's current state. You still need an entry point to access other wikis. It's just that that entry point is a wiki rather than a specialised search engine (?)
@silverpill Also, have you heard of Freenet-Locutus? The creator (who is the founder of the old Freenet, Ian Clarke) wants to create a decentralised Wikipedia on it that uses the technology behind X’s Community Notes.
@silverpill That's probably better actually.
1) More likely to take off because it's tied to an existing and already popular standard (ActivityPub)
2) Has an actual path to decentralisation (ActivityPub again)
But they should still work with each other IMO. For instance, they could adopt the ZWI format and instances could be added to the Encyclosphere search engines.

@anemone cc: @futurebird discuss
@anemone lots of things
@meso @getimiskon Yeah, I don't really get how what he said is supposed to be antisocial.
@anemone Can I see the court document where he admitted that?
@EmmyNoether @LibsoftiktokBot "8 hours gay" is from an image macro lmao
@EmmyNoether What is the significance of the campers being women? Would it be better if they were men?
@taylan I think for now you just have to get it added to those search engines. They haven't really worked it all out yet.
@taylan This seems to be the current state of things: https://wiki.encyclosphere.org/Projects
