@jeffcliff @11112011 The power rates in ontario aren't the power rates. They get you with a billion charges. Commercial and industrial customers can more than double their annual energy costs due to global adjustment charge.
@mnswpr Why are they being so uninclusive to non-earth-based entities?
re: uspol
@gamehawk The reason that January 6th scared them is they know what they've inflicted on countless US cities and they were afraid they might have to live the same as the filthy proles.
@Xeraser I'm not sure I'm really ok with the new aunt jemima brand.

@lradcliff can confirm, got vaccination, became an autism

I found and uploaded my old trigun abridged pilot. It's only about 6 minutes and it doesn't even cover the whole episode, but I laughed a few times.

There are two rules when dealing with wildlife: the first is that human beings are an apex predator and as such we should clomp around and make a whole bunch of noise whenever we're moving anywhere as if we're not afraid of anything, because doing that is likely to make sure that other creatures aren't surprised by your presence.
The second rule is that wild animals are dangerous to touch. If you see one and it looks really cute, you can look at it all day long. Don't feed it, don't pet it, don't poke it, it isn't your friend. It is tolerating your presence, and the moment it stops tolerating your presence it's going to bite you or slash you or whatever.

Always do need to point out that installing solar is a vanity project for most of Canada.
For like 9 months a year you get basically no energy. Data on the IESO website in Ontario where power rates have been driven through the roof by solar power being massively subsidized by the power company proves it.
It does help in the middle of summer when the peak loads often (but not always) occur because the days with the most heat often have the most sun, but in the dead of winter when the peaks sometimes occur because the days are so cold you'll be getting basically 0MW, especially during the coldest part of the day.
I'm still an advocate for hydro. Quebec and Manitoba are able to heat and light their homes and feed their industry using hydro and sell excess green energy to surrounding states and provinces. They're able to do so for the lowest prices for energy in Canada. It isn't sexy, but it's dependable, proven, and consistent. There is an environmental impact, but make no mistake -- there is an environmental impact for every form of energy, including Solar. Solar is just peak nimby-ism because for the pittance of power you do get you don't have to see any of the massive environmental impact as long as we make the panels in China and destroy their environment to do it.

If they run a candidate in my riding, I'll probably vote for them again. Don't see the other parties using the C word.
