Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

I just realized that the different followbots are just to get more on the timelines of the instances running them.

I was sort of worried by them before, but now my blocklist is clear as it always should have been.

I wonder if I'll finally get on the fediblock list?

Hooray for self-imposed filter bubbles! Silence all the dissent!

hahahahahah go back to twitter and let daddy mountain man protect you from the words on the Internet!

Is this the llama blood treatment?

@eee @guttersessions @Revelations The virgin "This site is down for maintenance" vs. the chad just taking the site down and fuck your couch

@JewishSpaceLazorOperator if I were dying of covid I'd say something cool like "I'd rather die free than live a slave". Know how many news articles would be written about me? Fucking none. Pathetic loser journalists pick and choose what will advance their agenda, and if someone replaced "vaccination" with the word "Jesus" their damn heads would explode in rage but they'd never realize their hypocrisy.

@Feltre @svenpai Dumbest thing Metallica ever did was release their worst album right after complaining that people should be buying their music.

I paid for St. Anger, and after hearing it once I never listened to it again. I wouldn't even pirate it.

@rysiek I don't know what you mean? Since 70% of the smartphone market is owned by Android everyone just spends all day every day just rebuilding their kernels, right?

One thing I'm always worried about is people think that what makes a place "toxic" is "opinions I disagree with".

To me, what makes a place toxic is being afraid of speaking unpopular opinions for fear of someone doing something bad to you. Whether it's being banned, or much worse someone trying to track down where you live and cause you real harm in real life because they disagree with you, or worse yet when someone uses your unpopular speech to try to change government or international policy to hurt your entire class of people.

True tolerance is coexisting with people who aren't exactly like you in a variety of ways. It means coexisting with people who don't look like you, but it also means coexisting with people who don't think like you. That means learning to coexist with people who disagree with you. To me, the worst toxicity isn't people who disagree with you, it's when people actively try to hurt you because they disagree with you.

And no, just disagreeing with you isn't actively trying to hurt you, and just expressing their disagreement isn't actively trying to hurt you. Even if you really strongly disagree back.

@VaxxersPostingTheirLs WE NEED TO SCAPEGOAT IMMIGRANTS

(Just wait, it's coming)

@lain @ocean I bought it early on PC as a christmas present to myself. I really enjoyed it. Is it all things to all people? Not at all, but it's a really good looking open world game with a decent main story. I enjoy just double jumping through the world.

@alex Whenever there's a technology that's so badly designed I can't figure out how to make it work, I'm like "Is this it? Is this the day that I'm no longer tech savvy? Am I just a normie now?"

@hn100 Really fantastic news. I've been watching the project from afar for a long time, when it pops, I think this project will be huge.

@aety @Mitsu tfw women don't just buy the blue razor

Watch "Ep. 11: What Fake News Won’t Tell You About the PPC" on YouTube

games should cost ~90 €
@saxnot @waweic I agree with you (given that's exactly how I've done my things)

Reality check though: Open source isn't really likely to actually draw much help until 80% of the work is done, and even then probably not.

People and organizations see the amount of free development done for something like the the linux kernel and start salivating, thinking that they can capitalize on that free labor, and start working under the assumption that eventually someone else will start doing the work for them. In reality, virtually none of those projects ever have more than one contributor. For every OpenArena or FreeCiv, there's probably 1000 projects that are fully functional, fully open course, and have never had another human being so much as open the source file.

@tixie My intuition is that the entrenched forces in the medical industry will knock this down before it starts. If it doesn't, I'll be pretty impressed, it would be a game changer.

I imagine they're one federal charge away from shutting down the project forever.

Great video about the fact that the economy is not a zero sum game!
