Not to mention, even if you assume arguendo that inflation doesn't become a problem, you're lining up society for a crime, drug and suicide epidemic.
Take away someone's life's work, their reason to get up in the morning and get their head screwed on straight, and you'll have murdered them just as surely as shooting them with a gun.

"Oi ya rat wanka ya all sixes and sevens ta think that tugga is gon be ye ol lady mate"
No! They're speaking English English!

Granted my sites are smaller than most, but it's been pretty acceptable from where I've been standing. With a new baby I haven't had hours and hours to fiddle, it's been running pretty well now that it's all up.
"How to not to be considered a hateful dickhead"
And that just supporting the establishment and using "nice words" does not make you immune to being a hateful dickhead.
Like most things worth doing, it takes thought and humanity and humility.

I'm working through beowulf with my son, I'm finding it a really hard read for various reasons. This post gave me flashbacks.
Lots of the trades. Specifically I've head lots of stories for example of carpenters who peaked around 40 bucks an hour who get much less since then.
Everyone is hiring... except nobody's willing to pay enough for anyone to show up for work.
Jobs that used to pay $40/hr pay $20/hr, except that $40 doesn't even buy what $20 used to buy.
There's "more jobs than there are workers to accept them according to the government", of course there are! There's enough jobs for every person on Earth if you just don't pay a market rate for anyone! I could use a full-time gardener and butler and cook and maid and chauffeur, if I only have to pay each one a dollar an hour!

Relatively recently, Google Hangouts shutdown (and was replaced with Google Chat)
Doesn't seem like a big thing, but Chat sucks compared to Hangouts, and at any time Google can just go "Nevermind, we're not doing a chat thing anymore"
It was a bit of an eye-opener for me, I realized that as long as I'm relying on the kindness of some global megacorp to keep maintaining my services, I can lose my services at any moment the companies decide it isn't profitable anymore.
Besides everything else, that was a huge impedus to start building my own services based on free and open source software, and the fact that so many are also federated is the best icing anyone could ask for.

After fake tweets, companies lost billions of dollars.
Which to me shows that too much of the world's systems are uncritically taking Twitter as a gospel. This isn't a critism of Twitter, it's a criticism of it's users.

Further to my last post, Iran has a solution, kings!
Nobody better criticize the Iranians for this, this is just a part of their culture, and anyone who opposes this is clearly islamophobic.
Yeah, but if you like 4 of them and there ends up being like 12 books in each series it gets complicated fast!
I presently have an Isekai problem: too many damn Isekai series. So every time I'm like "ok, is this the series about the wimp who became strong through hard work and industriousness, or the one about the wimp who became strong through hard work and industriousness?"
