Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

I actually saw "do the needful" in a professional email recently.

I can't quite articulate the emotions I had in that moment.

Maybe Penny should sue him. It's like you raised such a piece of garbage son that I've had to go through all of this. I'm sure you got part of his entire estate of 20 bucks and half a pack of chewing gum, maybe that should be my half a pack of chewing gum.

Oh no people might protect innocent and defenseleas people against violent lunatics.

I saw some leftists were saying they'd riot over the verdict. It's like "This is a New York City jury. There aren't many places more friendly to you than that and they acquitted him. Sit down and shut up."

Unfortunate but absolutely true facts.

Yes, not every well raised kid is going to grow up right, some kids just choose the wrong path, but by the numbers that's a tiny minority. Do your damn job, and your kids will grow up well.

I normally use my own searx instance by default, but did the google search on a lark.

I've got some updated hardware coming in which I'm hoping should help YaCy speed up somewhat.

You don't know what those toddlers done!

I was going to find the "well well well if it isn't the consequences of my own actions" meme, but then I realized there were hundreds of them so here's the first page from google.

It all boils down not to what you're doing, but why you're doing it. If you are returning the carts because it's expected of you, then that's a slave mentality. If you are returning the carts because you see yourself as superior to others and this is your expression of that superiority, then it is the master mentality. Same action, different ideas behind it.

Which I guess is the core premise of the original joke, now that I think about it.

Many people point out returning your cart at the store illustrates the bare minimum care required to live in a civilization.

I've extrapolated this to mean that if you return two carts, one of your own and one someone else left there then you are fit to lead.

Perhaps if you return three cards, you are fit to build a civilization of your own.

And for certain if you return four cards, you might just work for the supermarket.

What ur telling me Funko of Funko pop fame is kinda evil?

I never would have guessed by their whole business model being taking OCD people's money for plastic junk

Seems like an acceptable payoff.

I wonder what the chances are of a 64T federal debt by 2035?

I'm surprised, for all the problems over here, the cities typically collect garbage weekly.

That's kind of what I thought it would be.

I assumed the Canadian system wouldn't be so different than the UK system with a federal government, a provincial government, and municipal city/town governments with different powers and responsibilities at each level.

That's why seeing labour being blamed seemed strange. Typically municipal matters don't really reflect party politics.

Is garbage collection a federal matter in England?

Ought to be a hanging offense.

Tbf, I think most people don't have the latest phones since phone companies stopped giving you a free phone every 3 years.

(I had the MotoX 2013, one of the only phones manufactured in America in a factory in Texas. It was great. Lenovo owns the company now)

You're not wrong, but I'm not comparing the US to a hypothetical perfect government, but the actual governments around the world that successfully do the thing.
