I stumbled on a reddit threat from before he was president.
It was full of people sharing anecdotes about what a nice guy he was to them when they met him in real life.
I think the key to the McDonald's thing, is that he didn't put on a fake smile and hold a baby. He just showed up to work, and it came off as authentic.

The millennials are the boomers kids through and through. Anyone who thinks they'll be substantially different in charge hasn't been paying attention (other than they're significantly less talented)
What is very interesting, is how it already serves as a time capsule to what "more normal" looked like for a society.

I've written before on here about the ghost world I see: Go outside, go to the park every day during the Summer and in all the days you can in Spring and Fall, sometimes 2-3 times per day. You have the park to yourself. You have the streets to yourself. There aren't as many kids as there used to be, but there are still a lot of kids in a big city, but it's as if they don't exist at all.
