All eyes on CHYNA while we sit tight until midnight
The new 104% tariff on China is set to go into effect at midnight. China’s Yuan has been getting pummeled in anticipation of this, and they now have 3 choices:
1) Make a deal with Trump
2) Devalue the Yuan again
3) Massive, multi trillion $ stimulus
1 or 2 are most likely but nobody knows what will happen. The US stock market move today was a reflection of heightened trade wars but also a pricing of 2) or 3)

Blaming "men" is naive at best.
Women are some of the most vocal proponents of this stuff, and on that side is not a nuanced argument about "what's the harm?" They just call you a bigot if you don't like the cultural Marxism.
I think a crash is pretty likely, actually. Not "because" of the tariffs, but because we have been due for a proper crash since 2018-ish, and we have at least 4 simultaneous bubbles going right now.
The tariffs may well trigger it, but it is the pin to the balloon.
This is the shit we're arguing about:
Chinese slave labor for Apple to be a "cash gushing machine that Wall Street loves".
vs. a "profitable business".
Generational differences fascinate me. Everything the Boomers taught the Millennials about the world was basically a scam or a lie. In the future, I wonder if Gen Alpha will resent the Millennials for imparting no worldly wisdom at all as an overreaction to this.
For years, Harvard has been accused of lowering admissions standards to achieve “equity” goals in its classes. The school opposed efforts to uncover its admissions data. When that data was ultimately revealed, sharp differences based on race were revealed. The differences led to the historic decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard, 600 U.S. 181 (2023) barring the use of race in college admissions.
He has said it several times.
Trump and Musk both made posts today about eliminating income tax entirely being the eventual goal too.
