"He who is the author of a war lets loose the whole contagion of hell and opens a vein that bleeds a nation to death."

Thomas Paine

Little has changed for Americans. He made a nice push with executive orders that will all be reversed by the next admin. The GOP can't pass anything meaningful it's just more of the same.

..but Iran? They're going to pull out all the stops and relentlessly pursue their objectives.

Having their asses handed to them
and this is all they can do.

Seems like Vance has a big opportunity to lock in a solid cross section of the population now if he takes a hard stance against war.

..not that he will of course

Watch as all the "anti-disinformation" initiatives get leveraged for war propaganda. As they were always meant to be.

In a way though, Europeans made it particularly European. Notions of equality, due process, fairness, etc were known to Europe long before Christianity. I personally see European Christianity as being at base a mask through which a pre-existing European morality continued to evolve and be expressed. To put it another way, I'm not sure it made a bit of difference in Europe's trajectory or really changed much in the European mind, except how the European spirit was expressed.

JUST IN: President Trump says there are too many non-working holidays in the United States

The GOP wants what the DNC wants but more slowly.

It's a distinction without a difference.

I see the GOP well represented in this photo.

It's a distinction between right wing Americans, and the right hand side of the Uniparty.

Of course it matters. But also who you define as "us" matters. Is "us" We The People or a political ruling class?

In an analogy, it is like saying the neighbor who I think has stupid beliefs should not be allowed to own a rifle because he is not in alliance with me.

Of course he can own a rifle, even if I think his beliefs are stupid or wrong.
