I'm laughing because I predicted this just a little while ago -- a good chunk of the fediverse is completely radioactive to the corpos. None of us need to defederate from them because they're never going to federate with us.

Probably because threads is blocking anything that isn't bland corpochow. They probably took fediblock at face value.

Are they blocking using authorised fetch or some other method? If so, have we updated to bypass it?

I haven't spent any time looking into it tbh. Threads only federates like 6 users at this point anyway, and it's read-only.

If there's demand for it I'll implement alex's fix at a later date when the patch reaches the regular codebase.

And they're entitled internet addicts. What's your point?
