Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

Economics is a social science, so in one respect it's sort of true, but in another respect it's also sort of not.

Think about If you had a runner, and he was about to run in a race. If he had a bout of hypochondria and thought he was sick when he wasn't, then there could be a race that he could have won that he didn't.

On the other hand, if before every race you pump the runner full of PCP and tell him he's invincible, you might do really well for part of the race, but you might ignore actually getting hurt and then end up breaking your legs off.

I'm praying that after all this, the liberals and NDP are absolutely destroyed. This happened in Ontario with the provincial liberals, so it's not outside the realm of possibility. The Progressive Conservatives are sort of cucked in Ontario, but the Liberals aren't even a real political party anymore, and the NDP lost seats in the last election.

It can be done. It has happened before. It's just a matter of having someone with balls take over the Conservative Party of Canada. I put in my vote.

Great, I at no point thought they were opening a gate to Hell, but now I do because these guys only know how to lie!

Introducing: Our new method for selecting which companies get venture capital funding.

Problem.... I can't commit to the other 5 if I commit to the last one...

Nuclear fusion promises limitless energy the same way my useless cousin promises limitless profits for investing in his chinchilla business.

I just need a bit more money yo!

Oh yeah, illicit archaeology. Seen it a million times with these brits. Gotta watch 'em real careful-like.

I legitimately fear the idea of attaching the Internet to our brains. I think our brains would rewire themselves in dangerous ways. We might lose ourselves to the web, not understand where it stops and we begin, or where we stop and it begins.

Maybe I'll have to reach out across the country to find some bloody used glass.

It's annoying enough that it makes you want to start burning coal again to get the flyash back!

Fuck recycling programs.

They're fraud.

If you want evidence, go try to buy recycled materials from any of these so-called recycling companies. you can't do it. You'll get turned around all day as everyone points at someone else going "Oh, we don't recycle anything, but we're pretty sure those guys over there do!"

(twitches) I can stop whenever I want to, man!

I'm not the one with problems, you're the one with problems!!!

A buddy of mine waited for this one. He's under the impression that it also went through proper testing unlike the others.

These people are genocidal. We need new Nuremberg trials.

Der fuhrer and his Pomeranian lapdog in a turban can't go outside without getting heckled these days.

It's funny as hell. I think these might be the last days.

Just ask aga Khan for a trip to his private island, then ask we charity for a six figure job. Duh. You poor's sure have a small worldview. You should learn from our progressive leader.

That would make sense to me, more than any of the stated aims.

I've said before, I'm not opposed to using less carbon. We have to because eventually we run out of easy places to get it and we're more reliant on it than people think for basic stuff like feeding ourselves. I'm not opposed to using nitrogen more intelligently. I used to live on Lake Winnipeg, and it had huge algae blooms every year from all the farm runoff.

The thing is, you can't just pull the plug, we need these things to live. It's like just saying "Everyone! Breathe less air! You're bad people!"

If we actually acted property to try to solve these problems, I'd expect the poor and working class could be empowered by inexpensive food and energy, but it seems like they're specifically ignoring solutions that could work...

My greatest enemy: The moon.
