It's well established that when the labor pool shrinks, working conditions improve because employers end up competing for fewer workers. Stuff like the black death or large wars often have worker conditions and wages considerably improve on the other side.
That's why the shrinking worker population is so scary to the powers that be, despite the fact that their other plans essentially require it.

The most important thing in a nuclear disaster is to make sure you're not doing anything that will make you look like a total loser. The last thing you want is to leave a burn on the pavement of you looking like you're crying like a little girl or something.
Believe it or not the construction of your house can help a lot with that. Because my house is basically a Faraday cage, my neighbor's internet doesn't interact with mine so although it's annoying that I can't get internet in my front yard or backyard without extenders, I basically get full pull from whatever wireless networking I have within the house, and there isn't a bunch of congestion or anything to make things unstable.
The reason that I mentioned the particular brand is that I have had a lot of luck with them at the same time that I've had less luck with other brands. I absolutely love dd-wrt, but even using one of the best D-Link routers you can get that will still run it, it can be pretty Hit or Miss sometimes.

I'm at a point now where my internet's only 100 megabits, so having multiple gigabits of throughput and my house is basically a faraday cage so my neighbor's Wi-Fi doesn't interfere with mine, the stability and performance of my Wi-Fi is comparable to wired. Actually faster since my router at best only supports 1 GB on wired.
I'll vote for the performance of my tp-link routers. I started off with wireless n, then eventually moved up to Wi-Fi 5, and now I've got a Wi-Fi 6 router. I think everyone's had to deal at some point with rotors that technically support a certain speed but will start to seize up and lock up if you actually try to operate them at that speed, but I've had nothing but successes with my TP Link routers, and I've also noticed that they keep the firmware fairly well up to date.
Of course now that I've said that, it's going to turn out that those routers are filled with Chinese spyware or something.

You get to a certain point where your in-home Wi-Fi is faster than anything that you can connect to it.
His career as a college professor ended, he was painted as the devil and a pariah, he still has groups of angry psychopaths go around wherever he goes to protest his existence.
They want him dead and buried. The moment it looks like he's doing anything they try to end him. They protest wherever he talks. They protested his books. They send death threats and threats of violence and property damage.
So he did lose everything, but like a lot of people who are canceled, he built something new from the ashes. Thankfully they're not as strong as they think. Like the religious right, people are getting sick of their shit.

Total equality would totally work if we didn't need anyone to accomplish anything. If we were animals at the zoo, and a benevolent superspecies took care of us and catered to our every whim, we should all be equal. Unfortunately, the benevolent superspecies that takes care of us is us.
I see a lot of people trying to take Jordan Peterson's speech after being kicked off of twitter as if it's some supervillains rant.
Incredible, isn't it? That a person who lost everything speaking up for freedom of speech is facing attacks from a multibillion dollar multinational megacorporation and these people think the poor, poor megacorporation is the one who needs to be defended?

I successfully lost a ton of weight back in the day. I wrote a webpage talking about my journey because some people found the information useful. On the page, I specify that: "If you, anyone you know, or anyone you may have heard of has managed to gain fat by eating less than your body consumes, please contact the nearest research university, because your body doesn't follow fundamental laws of physics"
I find it odd the way they insist on changing these things that already existed, especially in light of the alternative.
Someone pointed it out to me recently and I can't unsee it: Back when I was growing up, there were lots of shows by for and of black people. Some of them ended up becoming megahits. Fresh Prince of Bel-air, Family Matters, the Wayan brothers, and cartoons like Static Shock and that show about MC Hammer, and those ones just off the top of my head. There were a lot of movies back then too, an entire industry of movies that had international releases and did quite well. I remember enjoying a lot of them. Some of the most bankable actors as well.
We have decades of proof that black people can make extraordinarily successful media. What is it about Hollywood that makes it so they don't want black people creating things proper anymore? It's almost like they're setting things up for intentional failure by starting with the wrong question...

The idea that you *wouldn't* throw Bush on the curb is sort of insane.
The GWB sort of neocon ideology is totally unelectable, no wonder there's democrat funded groups that want to push it. After he was done as president, the Democrats had a firm lead in both houses of congress, I think a supermajority in one house, the presidency, and the supreme court.
The fact that the Democrats are embracing GWB (recall that Biden was gleefully talking about how much GWB and his cronies support him during the debates) I think speaks to the fact that the Democratic party is about to have a similar collapse, and what I'm optimistic about is that they'll need to go back to the drawing board and find a strategy that actually works for most people.
