The current brand of LGBT rights is dragging support for the concept down, ironically because they're leaving the liberal argument and going somewhere moralistic. It stopped being "leave them alone" and started being "do as we command you to do".
Imo at least.

"If I am elected, I will provide every GOP member with a MyPillow so they can sleep through American's rights being taken away in comfort!"
tbf, if we want young people doing the trades, we need to make apprenticeships available and we don't.
When a single new electrical apprenticeship becomes available, hundreds of people apply for it. Entry level jobs are so valuable that they're political chips, often given to politically connected individuals instead of people who look like they'll become good tradesmen.

That's always a shame. It's always hilarious watching the US government pretend it's important that it gets funded.
Where the best model to view the world is thermodynamics, you use that, or when the best model is Newtonian physics you use that, where the best model is one where people act honourably and follow the rules you use that.
When conspiracy is the best model to view the world accurately for a particular purpose, why wouldn't you use the model that fits the data the best?
It should be obvious that I'm about decentralisation and funding of smaller media or creating media ourselves since I'm here and I've done the things I do, but the world doesn't end at the borders of my sphere of influence, it's a much bigger world out there and the Hun is at the gate, ready to chop us to bits the moment it gets a chance. (Oh, hi Bill C13, I didn't see you there. Yes, that's a really nice scimitar you have)

Well, we know there were FBI agents within twitter, so you might not be entirely wrong!
(They should be locked up forever considering what was allowed on that site)

So.... If industrial grade fusion ends up being commercialized in the near future, how long until it's demonized out of existence because all it does it produce limitless energy from water?
Science is irrecoverably damaged. We all saw that anyone who came to conclusions other than what the establishment wanted were unpersoned. You don't get to do that AND rely on science as a truth seeking tool people trust in.
Yet people try. "Well look at these studies we have! Surely if there was evidence to the contrary people would have published it!"
Do they imagine others are as stupid as they are?

As someone who buys advertising, and someone who occasionally makes content that could potentially be monetized by advertising, I'm totally on board with what you're saying. Enough advertisers are totally scummy and unethical that it's almost wrong not to install adblock on an elderly person's computer.
Why would someone? Add a bunch of overhead so a disk you have potentially becomes unreadable by you if something goes wrong?
