I have to admit, earlier this year I made a post saying that it didn't really matter who became president, because really doesn't. It's only 4 years. But I'm kind of getting excited now. What I'm saying is the potential for 4 years respite, but starting to build a whole infrastructure to make sure that there are people around 4 years from now who can carry that torch.
If Trump can keep up this momentum, if he can keep on surrounding himself with really good people who actually care about the future, then this presidential campaign might actually matter. Especially if he can win a strong enough victory to force the Democrats to get out of 2007.

I thought this interview with the prime minister's secretary in 2015 was really interesting, it confirmed a lot of what I've come to believe about Canada's current government. It turns out that he talks to those who are close to him exactly the same as he talks to the Canadian people.

Was trying to make a Chromebook with 2GB of RAM usable. Chrome based browsers just ran out of memory and became unusable on xfce mint.
Went with lubuntu and the falkon browser and it seems to handle low memory conditions much better. The chromium based browsers would work very well for a little while but eventually pulled too much memory and everything died. Ran a YouTube playlist overnight on falkon and everything is still responsive.

I like some Beatles songs.

But for the most part, it was just pop music of the time, and one of the important parts of pop music is that it has an expiry date so the next manufactured band on the conveyor can come out and sell more albums at relatively low cost before they become too expensive.

I've got searxng set up with a bunch of search engines that don't get their indexes from Google or Microsoft. In particular yacy is a FOSS and distributed search engine where the results come from each instance doing its own crawling. It's a bit slow and sometimes the results aren't the greatest, but as the only truly independent search engine it's worth the cost.
I might be alone in this, but I never really thought Timcast IRL was that good. If it's gone, nothing of particular value was lost...
That's always been his flex. He was one of the first nerdy billionaires to go out of his way to be dressed poorly, to be unshowered, to smell, because he's the big boss and what are you going to do about it you don't even own Windows!
I'm still deeply bitter that they didn't call the fourth movie the 4st and the 4ious. Wasted potential.
