Hot take: The crusades were significantly more justified than the eighty years war, or the thirty years war.

Iranian embassies are trolling Trump😭

So, when the Pope says "communion" here, he just means like, getting together.. right?

I'm thinking there are a few problems with this.

How it started....how it's going.

weigel using this meme is crazy

wtf is going on

The problem with idea that China was going to be the future world power was the fact they have never been a world power, even at their most dominant they never built a navy or conquered anyone beyond the physical boundaries of their current nation and they have worse age demographics than the US.

How was Iran going "totally annihilate" anyone if their nuclear program was destroyed by Trump last June?

Stay inclusive✌🏻

Meant to attach this to my earlier comment..

> Eliminating the Iranian Islamist terrorist threat that has been waging war on America for half a century.

Pretty sure this is what Washington was worried about when he warned against foreign entanglements..

What specifically is good for the American people in this context?

Don't know what you're talking about but this reads like a tweet from Trump on Truth Social about his MAGA base..

> deciding for many others who can communicate

The problem has always been that the definition of who is "right" shifts in any culture (hence the "overton window") and in creating gates you will eventually find yourself on the wrong side of the gate you created.

"Are we going to palliate and excuse a palpable and flagrant outrage on the right of speech, by implying that only a particular description of persons should exercise that right?

Liberty is meaningless where the right to utter one’s thoughts and opinions has ceased to exist. That, of all rights, is the dread of tyrants. It is the right which they first of all strike down.

To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker."

- A Plea for Free Speech in Boston (1860), Frederick Douglass

@abhayakara @benroyce

so don't follow them. you're not going to see their posts based on who you follow. my question is why do we have to block servers cause people like your "family" is on there? why do we have to make sure someone on your server can't see what they post?

not federating means deciding for many others who can communicate, when having no algos does so much of this work. we browse freely and avoid shitty sites without our browser having such limits. decentralization works.

remember, this stuff wasn't just created from nothing in 1962. You can see it all over for decades.

You didn't have McCarthy because it was a minor problem. There were tons of communists not only in hollywood, but the government too.

Anyone else notice this?

people understand that is is expensive, doesn't help them, is ugly and they are going to be stuck paying the bill.
