I went to a technical college for an Associates degree in computer programming. There were a ton of classes I needed to take that were not part of my direct degree. I had to take humanities classes, and the teacher heavily skewed it toward leftist writing/art. I had to take a psychology class that was heavily influenced by "the current thing", which at the time (2002-2004) was the victim narrative. I had to take classes in essay writing and was asked to argue for many leftist talking points along the way. I saw many apolitical people come out of that more left leaning then they went in.

If you haven't seen it on Crunchyroll, "My Wife has no Emotion" is a solid slice of life rom-com. I read the manga so I may be biased, but my wife and I are enjoying it quite a bit.

That is a good read in this regard.
You can't have equality of outcomes unless all people are exactly the same. And since you can't bring people up to the highest level, you have to push everyone down to the lowest to acheive equality of outcomes.

For what its worth, I considered choosing a different lemmy server, since you were not expecting to have users on your instance beside yourself. But I considered that I don't know for sure what any server will defederate from, but I can be sure you won't defederate from anyone.
So I humbly request you allow my use until I can get my own instance set up after I move.

Upgraded my #pinetime to InfiniTime 1.13 a few days ago. This update included some power efficiency changes.
It released 5 days ago, I gave it a full charge the day after and it is currently at 88% battery remaining. I am incredibly impressed.

Hey, fediverse? Anyone have a Piped instance they recommend for speed? The one I use is piped.kavin.rocks and it struggles to go above 144p video quality with out buffering.
