Advocate for freedom and tolerance even if you say things I do not like

Adversary of Fediblock

Accept that I'll probably say something you don't like and I'll give you the same benefit, and maybe we can find some truth about the world.

Ah... Is the Alliteration clever or stupid? Don't answer that, I sort of know the answer already...

@josh pretty sure peertube.biz is just a mirror. Previously based.directory. great instance, has lots of mirrors of great content.

@raz0rfist Biden's plan to deal with overloaded ports is to tell the ports to run 24/7. I feel like the busiest ports in the world already do that? Does anyone have any data on this?

@Jkid They're doing us a favor. Before their hatred of fans was bubbling under the surface, now it's on display so you can't miss it.

@parker @ItsSkyDragonz @JewishSpaceLazorOperator @MelGibsonafter4Beers I see this picture and imagine he's just standing there making the most annoying sound in the world from dumb and dumber.

You know, a joke never stole my bike.

A joke never robbed me at knifepoint.

A joke never broke into my friend and her grandmother's place for no reason.

A joke never walked up behind my brother and held him down while another joke beat the shit out of him for no reason.

A joke never beat my baby sitter, the sweetest little 12 year old girl you'd ever meet, half to death in a gang initiation.

A joke never beat my friend half to death and left dark bruises all over her body.

Maybe people need to remember that jokes aren't particularly harmful compared to actual stuff that happens every single day.

Just sayin'.

President Biden Mandates Asbestos to be Installed in all Homes

In a move applauded by Democratic lawmakers, President Joe Biden announced Tuesday a new plan to mandate the installation of asbestos in all homes.

“Fire safety is very important, and we all know asbestos is fireproof.” Says Joe Biden, “Everyone must have asbestos installed in their home because if your house catches on fire, your neighbors house could catch on fire. Soon the entire city will be on fire!”

Some right-wing conspiracy theorists have expressed concerns about mesothelioma, which have been echoed by noted January 6th provocateurs such as Alex Jones. Joe Biden directly attacked these pro-fire individuals in his speech, saying “C’mon man! We installed asbestos in millions of homes last year, and we haven’t heard of a single person getting mesothelioma! Not one! Face it, asbestos is proven safe, we’re providing it for free, it’s going to protect your family from fire, and it’s going to protect your neighborhood. What are you waiting for?”

He had strong rhetoric for pro-fire individuals who were calling asbestos installers forcing their way into homes mean names: “Show some f---ing respect.”

@wzqtparor tfw the cute catgirl likes you but youre allergic to cats

@Zennblack @shebang you're goddamned right!

Frontline workers kept the planet going while many people sat at home like toobin and many others didn't even pretend like he did

@randbot Man, now I want to know what it is so I can work to undo your extreme cleverness!

@11112011 It's "journalists" though.

@Moon @Terry I used to drive by that sign on my way to Edmonton, always laughed.

I'm sad to see it's been lost.

Yes, canola is actually called rapeseed, the name canola refers to "CANada Low Acid" because they modified the crop which was previously unpalatable into a crop that could be harvested and made into food.

@Moon @Terry Is this recent? I want to know that the 8 foot sign saying "the land of rape and honey" is safe.

@r000t I've said repeatedly: People think that kids are good with technology because they can surf facebook or youtube really well. That is NOT being good with technology.

Yes, if they can't do something as basic as open a file, then it's time to fail them and force them to learn. It isn't magic, it isn't impossible, it isn't even hard. But it is essential and if you let someone pass without knowing this then you've failed them.

From the "people I disagree with sometimes but read anyway because I respect them and they turn out to be occasionally right when I'm wrong" department.

Its a Canadian blog about real estate and finance. I've gotten a lot of great advice from this guy over the years that was put into real practice.

@wjmaggos I agree, I refer to the establishment and those who are pawns or puppets of the establishment.

There is a way to believe we still need change without believing the psychopathic garbage that has been pushed by the establishment. Our world has never been perfect and can be better, of course. The problem is that right now the most powerful people and organizations on earth have coopted change so they can achieve their ends instead of an organic movement searching for the best ends, and it's going to kill the left if they can't figure out how to stop that massive, powerful, well-funded, highly motivated faction from taking over. It'll be used up and tossed away like a used tissue much like the religious right was.

@wjmaggos people aren't responsible for what other people do. If all you had to do was say some words to be responsible for crimes other people commit then every rapper would be in jail forever, crucified by the legal system for inciting kids to live the gang life it glorifies.

People aren't responsible for things that they didn't do. He didn't March on the capital, he didn't join the rioters in entering the capital building, he didn't do any of that. We have a word for punishing someone for something they chose not to do as if they did it: Injustice.

As for whether that makes Trump weak? Well, maybe it does. There are a lot of things he didn't do that disappointed people. He didn't pardon Snowden or Assange. He didn't balance the budget. He pushed for lax monetary policy while candidate Trump pushed for strict monetary policy. He was nowhere near tough enough during the months of violent riots across America.

I feel like the left is angry with Trump for not playing the role they crafted for him. They thought he was going to be an authoritarian strongman, and instead they got a 90s democrat. They ended up having to play a bizarre game where they created a strawman puppet they jerked around with their right hand while they acted offended with another puppet in their right.

@VanDammage if you're pure evil it's the optimal strategy. You can collect resources from multiple men.

Mandatory asbestos in all homes! If your house catches on fire it could burn down my house so all houses must be law contain asbestos!

What could go wrong?

@AlexJones mandatory thalidomide for pregnant women!
