I love Barnes, just remember he's a damn good lawyer, and so he'll convince you that water is dry and deserts have a problem with too much water.
Lebanon is a much different country than I thought it was, to be honest. Before any of this happened I learned about a major accident at a port in Lebanon, and I had no idea that it was a multi-ethnic parliamentary democracy where ethnic balance of power is codified into the constitution. Quite different than I'd been led to believe exists in the region.
Apparently one guy had an above average wage with a bank and was saying you could use the food bank to save money, so I don't know that there is a cut off other than just having self-respect and honor.
Virtually every leftist opposing the war Iraq made the argument that people who vote for wars should have to go fight in those wars. If this was even the same Democratic party that it was in 2007, they'd actually be cheering for what Donald Trump said and telling Liz Cheney to go find a recruiter and sign up herself if she has that much of a problem with not enough War.
It's probably true that some of those international students need to use the food bank because the cost of living in Canada is very high.
But here's the thing... If you're coming here and you can't afford to be here, you probably shouldn't be here. If you're holding up signs begging for money at the local stores, what you should receive is a plane ticket back to wherever you came from. If you're using our food banks, you should probably receive a plane ticket back to wherever you came from.
And if any politicians have a problem with that, maybe they should get a one-way ticket to wherever these people came from. Because there's a growing number of people in need who actually come from this country who were born here, and increasingly they're obviously not getting the help they need.

By their own logic, don't warhawks like the Democrats favorite new BFFs the Cheneys execute thousands of American citizens every year? I mean, if having it to fight in a war that you voted for is execution, surley having to fight in a war that you didn't vote for is too?
It's just stupid seeing people fighting against the person they wish they were fighting against rather than the person they are fighting against.
Sun Tzu famously said if you know your enemy and know yourself you will never lose in a thousand battles, it seems like these people want to define their enemy and don't really want to know about them. That's fine, but at the end of the day you actually have to fight the enemy in front of you not the one in your head.

Government debt is now the number one existential crisis facing most western Nations. 20 years ago most of these governments were in reasonably Good financial shape and so it wasn't that big of a deal running up debt for a few years, but that was 20 years ago.
Is Putin personally responsible for every lawsuit that takes place in Russia?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation, but when I read the article it looked like the company sued google, the Russian courts implemented a fine, and that fine was to continuously rise as long as it was not being followed.
Maybe we need to start doing fines this way in the west for big companies so they stop treating Court judgments for legal violations like a cost of doing business.

If the greenies ever got to see exactly what sort of resources it takes to create a ton of steel, they'd realize you can't consume your way out of our civilization's consumption problem.
